Dickey's Barbecue Pit

The food was just ok.
Not a fan of this location.
Tables were dirty, building needs to have a renovation or a deep cleaning. And the staff on 6/14/24 although nice.
Did not have any hair nets on.
Hair should be covered in food service. Overall I would say if you want good BBQ this is a last stop. The brisket was tender I will give them that.
But flavor and true smoked meats this is not it. And the wings were not properly dipped in the flavor sauce.
Although I really wasn't a fan I still left a proper tip.

I ordered a DoorDash last night and i got pretty bad ribs.
They were dried like overcooked and old.
I couldn’t eat them at all.
Every bite was unpleasant and i had to put it to the side.
I heard this place was pretty good but the ribs killed the vibe.
Everything else was delicious.
Also i ordered a side of fried okra and never got it, bag was sealed.

Kind of dark inside.
Person slicing meat said hello, another person came out of the back and got my name for the pick up order.
I had ordered it just a couple minutes before, so I had to wait another couple minutes.
All that is fine (3 stars means average, not bad). I had ordered a sliced brisket sandwich and large fry to split with my brother.
This brisket was the driest brisket I have had in quite a while.
My brother and I both thought it tasted like the pot roast you might get at a cafeteria after it had been out for a bit.
The bun was pretty good though, and they did give us 2 sauce cups which made it easier to somewhat rehydrate the desiccated brisket.
The fries were fresh but unseasoned.
I had a coupon for the sandwich, so it was free, regularly $10.
I did pay for the fries which were $7.
If I had paid $10 for that sandwich, I would probably be unhappy.
As it is I'm more amused but irritated enough to write this.
