Views, service, food, all luxurious.
We also got a bottle of wine that was lovely as well. What to order: the tuna sashimi and the pork belly! The best things on the menu. Skip the octopus - the only dish that wasn’t a solid 5/5 for us.
But everything else was truly that good. Service was also wonderful.
We had such a lovely date night!

One of my favorite spots to take people who are visiting the city. The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable of their wines/liquors/drafts/plates. On a Friday or weekend evening make sure you preemptively make a reservation… if not you can likely walk in and get a spot at the bar which still serves full menu. As per recommendation, and the most popular plates happened to be the Departure Wings and Pork Belly. The wings fell right off the bone and had an amazing texture to them.
The sauce was light, but nothing special (4/5). The pork belly was fantastic… beautifully cooked, and nearly melts in your mouth.
The sauce was fantastic, and didn’t take over the pork taste (5/5). The hallway to the rooftop bar lounge has an incredibly intimate atmosphere.
The restaurant has a fun futuristic feel to it. I highly recommend this spot and will likely go back again to explore the menu further like the sushi and dim sum.

I am disappointed with my previous experience at Departure.
From the moment my partner and I checked in, we felt a sense of racism as if our presence was unwelcome.
The service was atrocious with staff (only one in particular) displaying a clear lack of courtesy. The culinary experience further deteriorated with the sashimi which was subpar and left much to be desired.
It was evident that attention to quality was lacking, and the flavors were far from authentic.
Even though we purchased Departure experience that they say is thoughtfully presented.
Also not to mention while the steak was pink it was extremely tuff and lacked flavor.
Furthermore the sauces for almost every dish were either plain or EXTREMELY distasteful.
Not to mention the wait time before each course didn’t come out in a timely manner.The only saving grace was the pork belly, which was decent at best. Overall, this restaurant left a bitter taste in our mouths not only due to the unsatisfactory food but also the discriminatory treatment we received during our visit.
I cannot recommend this establishment based on our unfortunate encounter.
