The food are delicious and they are really creative with their menu. You can't go wrong with this place whether you're taking someone out on date or want a good dinner with your friends.I also can't say enough good things about their service staff; they really know their stuff, when to come check on us without interrupting our conversations, and just overall super nice. They also hold events with tasting menus both by themselves or in collaboration with other establishments sometimes so I highly recommend following their page. It's basically our Christmas/ holiday tradition to come here for their Feast of Seven Fishes event at this point :D
I’ve been wanting to try this spot for ages and so glad to have gone.Chef, our cool server told us, is half Jewish half Italian, from Brooklyn.(That’s like everyone I grew up with so was instantly thrilled) Super creative and inventive dishes, some of which I really wasn’t sure would work.Cilantro ice cream, shrimp and eggplant? The flavors somehow did really complement / nicely contrast with one another well. The crispy spätzle was my favorite dish, and loved a few bites of pork with sea island peas (reminded me of Anson Mills). The warm cookies were delectable. Will def return and come just before 6, when there isn’t a big queue. While annoying they don’t take reservations, I kinda dig the “nobody gets special treatment” equalizer.
Went for brunch on a Sunday in July.Lots of open tables at 1130.Service was fabulous. Blueberry pancakes for the table, wonderful to share.Fresh mozzarella salad was different than I've seen mozzarella served before and it was great.Such a fresh taste. We tried 2 egg dishes, the omelet and the soft scrambled eggs. Both very special. A great outing all around.
