Mexican restaurant
Went here on a Saturday morning.Parking was easy to find (on the street) and it wasn't busy inside. This is a very hole-in-the-wall place. You can tell by the outside with the 70's vintage cantina signage outside. The inside is very dimmed, dark brown walls with old pictures of Mexican figures and the founder of the restaurant. The menu was pretty simple with 5-7 items to choose for breakfast.I ordered huevos con papa and chorizo that came with beans.I didn't feel I got enough chorizo and the papas tasted like it needed more time on the skillet. The beans were good.Brown beans that were probably cooked on the fat of the chorizo that gave it a brown/red color.Flour or corn tortillas come with the meal. Overall, the food was decent. The ladies working there were very nice! You felt at home in there.Mexican music playing from the radio gave you a 70's-80's vibe. That would be a reason I'd give them another chance.Alas, I live an hour from there, so I very likely won't make the drive to eat there again, but this is definitely a local-local joint.
Comfy and small place, only 5 booths and chairs at the bar, not big at all.But the food and service is always great, not a flashy place if that's what your looking for. 50+ years in service and don't see it showing down anytime soon.
My first time and I'll definitely be going back.Took me back to my childhood...to the days when my grandpa used to make us French fries for breakfast. Also they have a weenie and egg breakfast. No one serves that and I loved it.
