Breakfast restaurant, Cafe
Usual diner food.I ordered the corned beef hash with 2 eggs to branch out a bit.Eggs were cooked just how I asked, but the corned beef definitely came from a can and had the texture and taste of dog food.Ended up having some of my husbands sausage links because I couldn’t eat more than 2 bites of the corned beef.Very cozy atmosphere and attentive servers though!
We went in for brunch on a Thursday morning. Our party got the biscuits and gravy with hashbrowns, a waffle, the chicken fried steak breakfast with a pancake, and an omelet. We ordered bacon on the side and a side of the corned beef hash, as the menu stated it was made in-house or a house specialty. It was not.It was very evident by the taste and texture that it was canned.Such a disappointment. The gravy might be "special" according to the menu, but it also was reminiscent of canned gravy with additional sausage added for effect. The eggs were cooked to our specifications and the food arrived hot and overall a satisfying breakfast. We were incredibly surprised at the lightening fast speed of service! We were seated immediately and offered drinks. Our server was attentive and prompt throughout our meal.We enjoyed eating here and watched other diners meal selections arrive and will definitely be back to try their sandwiches and burgers.
We went in for brunch on a Wednesday morning. We enjoyed watching other diners’ meal selections while waiting for our food. Our server was attentive and prompt throughout our meal. The food came in a timely manner, considering how busy the restaurant was.Two of us ordered the breakfast burrito, mine was the chorizo version. However, I didn’t expect my burrito to come drowned in salsa. It would have been nice for the salsa to come served in a bowl on the side, but that’s not a big issue for me since I appreciate a good salsa. My issue with the burrito was that it was mostly tortilla. There was very little chorizo, or anything else, actually in the burrito. Most of what I left on my plate after eating was a tortilla carcass. While the burrito was fairly large, there was hardly enough stuffing in it to satisfy my hunger. When you pay almost $13 for a breakfast burrito, you want something that’s going to stick to your ribs for the rest of the morning. This was very disappointing, especially since I drove here from West Phoenix.
