Wine bar, Italian restaurant
I can't believe I have never heard of Corks and found it by walking by it one evening. The best past in SF and the best gnocchi I have ever had.And I have eaten in many good Italian restaurants. The wine collection is great as well.Beautiful ambiance, very cozy, and lovely owner.
At this point Corks seems like SF’s best-kept secret Italian food, although I think it is probably due to them being listed as a Wine Bar rather than a restaurant.Guys.Corks has FOOD and it’s some of the BEST Italian food you’ll ever have. The Amatriciana and gnocchi are to die for, I can’t stop smiling when I eat them, the pasta tastes homemade and the sauce is so rich and delicious, it makes you grateful to be alive and to be able to taste such glorious food. And the Nebbiolo Langhe and Barolo are some of the best wines I’ve ever had too.
The gnocchi is simply incredible and Alejandro will have you taken care of with some amazing wine options. The hospitality, ambience, and food make this one of the best italian spots in SF.
