African restaurant
Claypot African Restaurant & Bar invites diners to explore the rich flavors of African cuisine in Garland, TX. Offering a diverse menu, dishes like egusi and jollof rice showcase authentic tastes, though pricing and portion sizes might not always meet expectations. While some patrons have praised the savory goat meat, service experiences can vary, with a few noting less-than-friendly staff interactions. With a price range around $$, it’s worth a visit for culinary adventurers open to exploring new flavors, but be prepared for potential inconsistencies.

September 15, 2024At Claypot African Restaurant & Bar, the food offers a glimpse into authentic African cuisine, but the experience is a mixed bag.
I tried the egusi with goat and fufu, and while the goat was tender and flavorful, the fufu felt like an afterthought next to the soupy offe Usala.
The prices were surprising - $21.99 for jollof rice with three small pieces of beef? They should be more upfront about charges.
The service didn’t elevate the experience either; I felt more like an afterthought than a guest. Maybe they can improve, but right now, it's hard to recommend...
