Chipotle Mexican Grill is my go-to spot for a quick and delicious meal! 🌯 The ambiance is casual yet trendy, perfect for a laid-back lunch after class. I love their burrito bowls - filled with cilantro-lime rice, black beans, and extra guac for that creamy flavor!
The best part? They offer vegetarian options and healthy choices, so everyone can find something tasty. Plus, the outdoor seating makes it a fantastic choice for sunny days in Escondido.
The staff is always friendly and efficient, making ordering a breeze. Don't forget to check out their kids' menu if you're dining with little ones! Will definitely be back! ✨
Chipotle still sucks apparently. My daughter and I were at the Westfield Escondido Mall last year when she began to get hungry. There aren't a lot of great options in the food court area, and Chipotle didn't have a line, so that's where we ended up. I ordered a "Steak Taco" with a flour tortilla, fajita vegetables, pinto beans, salsa verde, and cheese. The "steak" at Chipotle is beef chopped into small cubes with a taste and odor that reminds me a little bit of cheap bologna. They claim their beef is all grass-fed and sourced from Australia.Apparently, Mel Gibson isn't the only export Australians should be ashamed of.The fajita vegetables, slick and greasy strips of onions and peppers robbed of their flavor by whatever industrialized cooking process Chipotle uses, pretty much add nothing. The salsa verde tasted like tabasco infused with farts, and the chalky pinto beans tasted like little balls of Play-Doh.In other words, this taco was warm rubbish. The "Carnitas Taco" was also ordered, with Chipotle's "tomato salsa" along with queso sauce on a U-shaped crispy corn tortilla shell.I wish I could break down the flavors of this one, but the overwhelming throat-scraping salt content in the queso and carnitas left me in desperate need of a water well - to crawl into and die.For several minutes after I ate this, I could taste nothing else but salt. The carnitas didn't feel as dry as I remember them from the last burrito I had from Chipotle years ago, but that could be because the employees spit in my food.I'm not saying I know for sure that they did, but why would that be surprising here? It wouldn't. Put simply, to order tacos at any Chipotle while living in San Diego County is to commit taco treason.Your punishment may include falling ill to anything from e.coli to norovirus. With Chipotle's well-documented history of spreading both of these foodborne illnesses across the country, I was unwilling to take any chances with my family on tainted produce, so I ordered my 3-year-old daughter a bowl of chicken and rice and specified that no 'room temperature' vegetables or toppings were to be added. She had a few bites, made a sour face, and said "daddy, I don't like this." I don't blame you, sweetheart. This was the closest I've ever come to child abuse.
This Chipotle is awesome!! There wasn't a line quick and easy.Really served me double.Employee's are friendly and welcoming.Only kinda bad thing music is real loud.
Stood at the register for 5 min with my baby staring at 2 employees and wasn't acknowledged until the manager came out.She asked if I needed something.I said yes and she told her other employee I wanted to order but they just walked away so I just walked away too! It was apparent I wasn't wanted there.
