I ordered the porterhouse steak, which, while flavorful, was a bit tough.
My wife chose the filet mignon, but it arrived undercooked and had to be sent back.
Fortunately, the attentive waitress handled the situation well.
The decor was pleasant, and the standout feature of our visit was the excellent staff.
The restaurant is also conveniently located near the Safari Animal Park.

Black Angus is a steakhouse.
They do steaks best.
That is, the steaks are pretty ok but everything else is just fine.
That’s why it’s not a mac and cheese house, or a potato house.
Though I will say that you have a number of ways to eat potatoes here.
Possibly too many? A word of warning though: the burnt ends and hatch chili mac and cheese was, no exaggeration, the worst mac and cheese I’ve had in my life.
It was sitting in a pool of water grease and it tasted like actual garbage.
I don’t know if it was spoiled or what, but it had a nasty taste to it.
Yes, I’ve had hatch chili before, so it wasn’t that my palate was unfamiliar. Come to Black Angus for the steaks, stay for the memories, leave because you ate way too much.

My husband and I ordered take out for the 2 for $50 deal.
We did not get our appetizer or side salad.
Steak was suppose to be cooked medium rare and it was well done.
Gave him 2 pieces of broccoli for his entree and a small scoop of rice for mine … Never coming back
