I went to China Joy because I saw in a recent review that they had good service and their food was best in the area.However, thatâs just NOT TRUE.They are SIGNIFICANTLY over priced, for a Chinese restaurant overall, but for the area too.Panda House Chinese Restaurant right down the road is 20x better, with service, and prices especially.This place (China Joy) was charging $8 for wanton soup when most places in the area charge $2.50-$3 for a quart (seriously go look, no joke).My fiancĂŠ refused to order anything due to the price gouging (we are now as Hot Wok down the road to get the Wanton Soup for $3).Not to mention the guy who greeted me with the reddish glasses and upper arm tattoo was also quite rude and short, especially because I was being polite.Not great customer service at all and heâs the one that even prompted me to leave a review.I havenât even got home to try their food yet but this has already left a bad taste in my mouth. I did order something but Iâd also like to note they didnât even give me a fortune cookie like other places in the area.Those small details are what we care about.This place is not worth the drive, AT ALL.Go to Hot Wok up the block for some cheaper Chinese food and head to Panda House about a mile away if you want the best overall experience (price and customer service, theyâre so sweet and humble there).
Extremely disappointed with my experience at China Joy.I ordered from Door Dash and was expecting white rice with my order since there was a +3.00 option for fried rice.Because of this, I thought white rice was the default option.When the order came, I had fried rice.No biggy, Iâll just call and see if I can have them deliver some white rice or I could possibly pick some up.When I called the restaurant, they said it wasnât their fault and that I should have specified âwhite riceâ in the instructions.If fried rice is the default option, why would they include it as an added substitution? It is completely unethical to charge people 3.00 extra for fried rice when they click the option when itâs already the default option.It shows a lack of customer service.Accountability and integrity.
Donât go here.Ordered via DoorDash - the default is white rice.Perfect because thatâs exactly what I wanted.You have to pay $3 for fried rice.Tell me why my order arrived with fried rice⌠we call to let them know and what we get is âThatâs not our fault.Thatâs DoorDashâs faultâ.Itâs YOUR business.If you make the order wrong then you fix it.Never ordering from here again.What ever happened to the customer is always right? Especially when the customer is right.I suggest you get your DoorDash page and your cashierâs attitude FIXED.
