SHARI IS THE BEST!!!! I just came on April 24th to celebrate my 21st birthday with 2 of my friends! Neither of them had been here before but I had been here several times.The food of course was outstanding and the drinks were fantastic! Every time I had come here, the service was nothing but lovely! But, SHARI was absolutely incredible i can’t even begin to describe! She was so sweet and attentive to us while still giving that 10/10 service experience! I work in the service industry and I could see right away that Shari had that sparkle in her eye that made our experience out of this world! We chatted for a bit when we were finishing up and she is the most down to earth person! If you ever get Shari as your server, you are in for a real treat!! She deserves everything good that is coming her way! This was the best start to my year as 21 ever!!
Char & Lemon is an incredible gastro-fest creation that is not only a harbinger of amazing experiences for the palate but also houses a very cool interior experience.From the two, out in full view, contrasting wood-fired ovens, to the architectural details, to the outdoor balcony seating/lounge areas, two cool bars - I could go on and on.The vibe of this place is not like anything in the area.I'm actually from NYC and this place has the feel of a swank Williamsburg or West Village eatery - right in sunny Oxford! BUT - so incredibly inviting & unpretentious.The staff is welcoming and attentive.The menu has some really nice twists.An example - if you've ever been to a street fair, you know zeppoli.On the menu, we figured there would be 2 or 3 in an order.No! Instead we got like a full, old school order with maybe a dozen and a trough of cannoli cream filling to dip them in - OMG!! The pizza is amazing! Try the Spice Of Life.Every dish we have had in our 375 visits (ok - a little exaggeration) has been outstanding.And did I mention the cocktail program? Well - I just did - GO!
One of my personal favorites! Food is always fresh and delicious, service is attentive and knowledgeable, and drinks are delicious as well.Love returning here time and time again!
