We went in early for dinner.Despite them not serving food before 6pm, they offered our hungry 1year old some potato salad to help which was extremely attentive. We had all four starters and the food was delicious. My preference were the beans dish and the meat skewers with cheese. Owner was very kind and looked after us as well as the waitress. We were looking for something other than the usual burger and pizza (non bistro / brasserie) and this little restaurant made our day.
It's decent but nothing special. As you can see in the pictures, the plating is not bad, which might make you think the place is a bit fancy, but it's not as refined as it looks. We had for example an appetizer that was overly salty (the duck) and a dessert that was too sweet (pavlova cream). For 40-50€, you can find better options in Paris. The staff was invisible, the kind that leaves you alone.
We saw that this was listed as a notable place from the Michelin group and thought it was worth giving a try. However I felt I was misled by the rating, as the food and experience were not to the standard I’d expect from such a restaurant. The price though is very affordable so you possibly get what you pay for? Me and my dining partner ate vegetarian, and they were excellent with accommodating those needs and the menu was understandably more limited. We got an eggplant dish and mushroom carpaccio dish as starters, both were okay.I thought the raw mushrooms were a very weird textural experience to eat.We also got the linguine. It was served with beets which was a very odd combination and I didn’t like it but it was prepared well.We got the cheese plate and chiox as desserts.Again both okay. Service was attentive, atmosphere nice.Very few people were eating here the night we dined it may have been on the earlier side but I also got the impression that locals know it’s not very good food? At any rate it was a bit disappointing.
