Blue Kitchella is an absolute gem for anyone in Portage, MI! Came on a Friday night at 5:30 and the entire place was empty… a little bit strange but we decided to stay and eat nonetheless! The service was ok… we waited about 15 min for our food.
Then went outside to eat because it was pretty awkward sitting alone chatting in the quiet restaurant.
It would’ve been nice to have the TVs on for background noise.
The food was pretty fair for the price.
My husband likes spicy things - but said the spicy chicken sandwich was really hot, just something to note.
He said it was still yummy! My burger and fries were pretty straight forward.

Website doesn't have a real menu so we didn't know what to expect.
The restaurant is a "fast casual" style, more akin to Culver's (which would have been a better decision). I had the BBQ Mac & Cheese which was served with cold BBQ sauce on the side.

The Mac and cheese was room temp and sticky.
At least the toppings seemed fresh. I saw a lot of reviews talk about how this is the best chicken in Kzoo.
I wish you all had better experiences elsewhere, because my chicken was very dry.
No way I'd order a chicken sandwich from here. Seems like this place is in decline or previous reviews are biased, because nothing I read matched my experience.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Always looking for easygoing options to take my toddler to.
The food was delicious, especially the chicken sandwich! Staff were very friendly.
My kid and I had a great time here and will be returning soon.
