I was very impressed by the photos of the burgers here, so my expectations were pretty high.We went to the Chesterfield location because the one on Walnut is not in an area of town I feel comfortable in. The restaurant is smallish, and when you walk in, there is a bar straight ahead. You can choose to sit there, or out on the main floor, or even outside on the patio! We sat in a booth in the far corner. At first it seemed kind of loud, but they were playing great music so it was tolerable, it's definitely not a place for quiet conversation. Their selection of burgers made it challenging to choose which one to try, but I finally settled on The Blues Brothers. My husband ordered the Don't Go Bacon My Heart, and we ordered the Smoked Fries with a little platter of all the dipping sauces. We both ordered house-made sweet tea, which was not overly sweetened. The fries were brought first so they sort of served as more of an appetizer.HIGHLY RECOMMEND the smoked fries.OMG.You really don't even need to dip them in anything!!! The burgers were top notch.Sometimes you bite into a burger and that first bite just explodes with flavor, but then as you consume the rest of your burger the taste profile fades by the time you get to that last bite. NOT SO WITH THESE BURGERS!!! After that first bite, every bite until the last one was a shade of the taste profile, but just as explosively flavorful as the first. Service was fantastic, Natalie was very helpful with order suggestions; she was very attentive and checked on us often, but not so much that we thought we should invite her to join us 😏 Lastly, I included a photo of our ticket because I couldn't believe that for the quality and taste of our food, the cost was absolutely reasonable. We will most definitely be back, and it will be difficult to decide whether I want a repeat order, or if I want to try something new...Or maybe I just want a milkshake for dinner!!! Guys.Go eat here. It's literally so amazing, I can't say enough about it!
We decide to try something else than the normal fast food with the kiddos on our family day after the aquarium.Let me tell you the price is amazing for a family of 4! The food was EXPECTACULAR! Your taste buds will thank you after you try the food. The burger for the kids was perfect size, they serve a ton of fries which is awesome with kids who LOVE fries. The server who attended me, Thank you so much for your hospitality and making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the amazing burgers we had. Also, Thank you for the ice cream. You are the best and I will definitely be back.
We haven't been here in a couple years because of the miserable experience we previously had.Enough time has lapsed that it seemed worth a re-try.Toninght, our service was impeccable! I wish I'd gotten that young man's name. The food, though, was not as good as I remember. For context, I predominantly frequented the downtown location before shifting to the south location. Atop that, for the last six years I've been vegetarian.Tonight I ordered the Foodie - the dish I got before my veg-head days - and it was soooo greasy, much more than I remembered.I'm assuming the beef is 80/20? My husband, who never gave up meat, ordered a different burger and his was also swimming in grease. We both walked out feeling a little weighed down. That said, the meal is meant to be an indulgent treat so if you go in knowing that, then you can easily manage your expectations and you'll be all set. The prices have also climbed a smidge and the menu carries the price tag of something a little more gourmet. Before the $12 tip we spent $43 on two burgers and two alcoholic shakes. The tables are a little close together and ours rocked; however, it was nice to throw on jeans and a tshirt on a Friday night and not feel underdressed. Overall, this experience was much better than our last and we're likely to return.
