Just keep walking along the Spree and go somewhere else. The service and the food are both horrible here. We ordered quiche and pancakes. It took them a very long time to bring us our drinks. And when after more than half an hour they came to our table again, it wasn’t to bring us our food, but to tell me they were out of chorizo quiche. So I had to order something else, they hadn’t even started preparing our order. The waiter didn’t understand English nor German, and wasn’t polite. When she showed me our order on her tablet (for confirmation, due to the language barrier), and I corrected her (our daughter wanted plain vanille ice cream instead of vanille-nougat-brownie ice cream, and she had noted ‘without nougat brownie’ without mentioning the word ice cream) she said the kitchen would understand.Which they obviously didn’t. Moreover, the pancakes were soaked in some kind of orange juice, which wasn’t on the menu, but made them taste awful. So just keep on walking and go somewhere else. This place isn’t worth your money.
Oysters were good.3,50€ for one.The rest of the food was not good at all (like tartar and mussles).Wine is also so-so, despite the name of the bar 🤷♀️ Generally an ok place for a lunch or dinner, atmosphere is quite relaxed.Outside seating is next to the river, which is nice. There are a lot of other restaurants around, so I can't say that the place is quiet and romantic.
Pretty poor overall; ordered a draft beer from the menu, and was told that this was “not relevant” by the barman (an elderly gent) which I understood to mean they had no draft beers. No drama, happy to order bottled, but he’d already gone off to serve another table. As we were about to leave for a neighbouring bar after waiting 10-15 minutes, he returned and took our order. When we asked for the bill, the same chap brought it but declined to accept a card payment for “only €14”.Paid cash as demanded, but the change went straight into his pocket despite the poor service that really didn’t warrant a tip.I suggest going elsewhere; there are many options within a few metres.
