Went here bc we had vouchers from time share presentation.
They have gluten free bread so you can get sandwiches made accordingly.
Food was good, not the best I've ever had but no complaints.
Service was awesome, everyone spoke perfect English but the guys working there let me practice my terrible Spanish with them.
Overall 5 stars.

LOVED this place, I don't know why more people don't talk about it but then it would turn into a tourist trap I suppose.
Had a great sandwich for breakfast.
Sat at the counter which was very nostalgic.
Staff was super friendly and talkative.
My sandwich came out without it's bacon and it was fixed quickly and professionally.
HIGHLY recommend! Prices are very affordable.

I don't know why the Astro Diner is not rated higher on Google reviews.
It is by far the best non-touristy diner on the west side of Midtown.
They have a very large, diverse menu, and the food is great.
I've eaten here many dozens of times, and while the decor inside is nothing special, the experience has been fantastic on every single occasion.
The service, specifically up front at the bar area, is the best.
We had the carrot cake for dessert this visit, and it was out of this world.
Maybe the best carrot cake that we have ever had!
