Applebee's Grill + Bar

This was the first time we've been to this location in many years.
It will also be our last.
To start out the evening.
It took over 30 minutes to get our drinks and appetizers.
(Before you think it...
the restaurant was damn near empty of customers) Full staff on hand, so no excuse for slow service.
At that point, we still didn't thinkul much of it.
Our server kept filling our drinks, but no food!! It was about an hour or so before our food was brought out.
I never did eat my food, because I had already excused myself to the truck.
The steaks were overcooked and inedible.
Luckily the appetizers were all good, so we at least ate something.
Upon telling the server about our feelings.
She got the manager.
The manager basically said too bad and did nothing.
He even went to the server and warned her "don't expect a tip.
These people are pissed!" When she ran our card.
She actually voided off the tip part, so we gave her $50 in cash.
It isn't her fault the kitchen staff and management I'd trash!! We won't be back!! Also, corporate has been notified! We will be talking with them today.
Do yourself a favor...
DO NOT go to this location!!! Management is 🗑!!! Photo is a whole steak.

and the one bit that was attempted to be eaten, you couldn't chew.
A piece of broccoli was bigger than the steak.
Unreal !!!

The food was okay, definitely not the best I've had from this location, but had to give 5 starts to the staff and manager on duty! We came in around 7:30 and were seated right away.
Once seated it took a while to get our drinks, and we noticed several tables around us having issues with their food.
Our waitress took our appetizer and meal orders and everything came out at a good pace.
Our appetizers were great! Our burgers were okay.
Kind of overcooked but edible.
As soon as we got our food, someone yelled at the manager who brought out our order, from the bar.
She immediately replied, I'll be right with you! The customer yelled that they had been waiting on a manager for an hour, which was probably an over exaggeration.
The manager approached the customer who was with two others and was trying to listen to their complaints, and the customers were yelling at the manager.
Another staff member said something to the customers and they started screaming and calling the staff names and cursing at the staff.
The manager said she will not tolerate customers speaking to staff that way and they need to leave.
The customers refused to leave until they received a refund and continued to scream and curse at the staff.
The manager stayed calm this entire time and just repeated that they needed to leave or the police would be called.
The customers then accused the staff of being racist because they threatened to call the police of them, when the customers were African American.
The manager explained again, that they were being asked to leave due to the profanity used and that she treats all belligerent customers the same way, and asked them to leave again.
The customers finally got up and left and continued to curse the entire way out of the restaurant.
After they were out of the building the manager immediately apologized to the entire restaurant from the bar.
The staff was definitely shaken, but jumped right back into service.
The manager then went around the entire restaurant and individually apologized to each table for the foul language and disturbance during our meals.
I think I saw a total of 4 staff including the manager serving an entire restaurant.
They were working their hardest to ensure all customers were please with their meals and service.
They all deserve some recognition for the way they handled the situation as well as handled being short staffed on a Friday night.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! First things First it’s dirty it’s like they never clean the place!! Then When I first arrived it took 10 minutes to even be greeted.
And the place wasn’t even busy at all!!! They bring drinks out, and it takes another 20 minutes for an appetizer.
They have me and my family waiting for almost 45 minutes and comes to tell us there system is down and that I need to pay them upfront before I can not get my food, as if that was my problem.
They didn’t apologize for all the time they wasted, offer a discount or even just remake the food in a timely manner.
They just wanted to be paid up front.
I have never had to do that ever!!! And to be honest I think they were stereotyping me, as I was the only black family there, that was asked to do this!!! What a waste of time!!! And they thought I was suppose to tip for the drinks that I did have to pay for.
I wouldn’t eat at this place if it was the last thing around!!!! The service is trash!!! If I could rate 0 I would!!!!
