The food wasn’t bad overall; however, I was quite disappointed to find that the rice was undercooked. For a Japanese restaurant, getting the rice right is essential, and this really let down the meal. Another point to consider: if you’re planning to dine here, avoid wearing fancy clothes. The restaurant has a strong grassy smell that clings to your clothing, which isn’t ideal if you have other plans afterward.
The waitresses were very nice at servicing the table and explaining the meals. Course 1 - not bad but was bland in execution Course 2 - seabass had okay flavor but was lacking the sauce that I would expect from omakase Course 3 - very good dish with the salmon and the roe and the basil Course 4 - not well fried and the miso seemed to be poured from the soup dish Course 5 - best course, beef was delicious and side dishes had good flavor Course 6/7 took 40 minutes to receive and was very tart and last course was not up to par. For the omakase 7 course and 5 drink meal I would expect more flavor from the drinks and the meals alike. The drinks did complement the meals but both were bland.
Food here was nice but nothing to write home about. We stayed within a 10min walk so it was easy to get to but there are better Japanese dining options in Paris.Service was friendly and efficient.
