Okay, maybe it's not too far from where everything is, but it is a ways out of the way, and the parking rules in the area were a bit confusing how they were written.I did not see much else in the area for casual people to indulge in, but that is not too much of an issue. Now, the place can be easy to find once you are parked and start walking around.Might be one of the very few places over there that is actually occupied in the evenings. Upon entering, you immediately feel the difference in atmosphere. It is cool, warmly lit, with an open space that feels nice. There was no crowd when my partner and I experienced the place, and we liked the darkened environment for the most part, although it did not feel cozy or welcoming. On the other hand, our server was the one with a warm touch. We were immediately seated, at a very nice corner space at that, with a nice window - although there is not much to look at.The seats are nice and the table is spacious. As we looked over the menus we were given water and I ordered a nice white wine that turned out to be pleasantly subtle. The menu is not overwhelming but presents a good variety of food to choose from.It is simple and pretty basic compared to other menus, but this can be so trivial if the food itself is able to satisfy us more than just filling our bellies. We made our order and waited no more than ten minutes before the tapas started collecting at our table. My grilled octopus was sensational.Considering my only other experience with octopus was disappointing, I had very little for this one.Yet, they surprised me and I was happy with what I was given.Worth the price? Probably not, but I was okay with this, and I liked how it was presented. We shared fried deviled eggs that I found to be the best deviled eggs I've ever tasted in my life. Now, my take should be taken with a grain of salt because I have not tried many compared to my partner, but these were delicious.I would come back just for that. Overall, the experience was delightful. It was not loud, it was not crowded, we were given wonderful service, and as long as you have the change for it you should check it out.
Amanda has charming decor, well-crafted cocktails, and a nicely varied menu.We went for our anniversary and enjoyed every dish, but our favorite was the endive, which was an elegant blend of sweet and savory.
What an outstanding gem of a place. The service is fantastic, and the food is outstanding. Tonight we had mussels, salmon carpaccio, lamb, endive bites, and a wonderful Bordeaux.Experiencing full satisfaction. Find this place and give it a try!
