The atmosphere and service at Al Solito Posto is outstanding.
This is definitely the right kind of restaurant for a romantic date or an important get together. As far as the food goes I can only judge it based on the dish I ordered. I ordered the margarita pizza and while it was good, it was not as good as some of the more dedicated pizza restaurants I visited recently. I say that because this was not a wood fired pizza despite being of the Neapolitan-a style.
The crust was not doughy but I’m used to the slightly charred and the slightly more crispy crusts I have been getting with wood fired pizza’s. The pizza was also heavy on the sauce and light on cheese.
I normally like that but in this case maybe they went a little too light on the cheese. However they did use Buffalo Mozzarella for the cheese which very few restaurants offer and is a really nice touch. One last room for improvement was that the pizza sauce was not fresh.
It’s actually quite rare for it to be fresh so this is not a big deal. Overall this was still a very good pizza.
Just not quite as good as the very best dedicated pizza restaurants.

Service was impeccable… perfection.
Nada addressed us by name and made us feel very important the whole night! Table is wiped during your meal, waters refilled often, and food came in great time! We both ordered pastas, side of mushrooms, and the white “dessert” wine but to drink with dinner, and the Tiramisu cheesecake for dessert! I can’t wait to come again.

Located at Tivoli Village Rampart & Alta Met friends for Happy Hour Vincenzo was our server/bartender at the Bar.
He was friendly and attentive and created a Speciality cocktail for me. What we ordered: 1.) Cocktails: price range $10.00-$18.50 Old Fashioned, Paloma Italiano, Passion Fruit Cocktail, Negroni and Pinot Noir. 1.) Squash Blossom $12.00 these were delicious lightly fried with cheese and squash. 2.) Calamari $15.00 fried well and Calamari tender.
The Aioli was tasty. 3.) Meatballs $12.00.
Served with a Polenta Wedge.
Meatballs were well seasoned and moist. Definitely will come again.
