Asian fusion restaurant
Yum!!! We went on a Thursday at 130 for lunch.Total cost $53 before tip. Had 2 mixed drinks, 2 entrees. The pad thai was great.Nice flavor and heat without being overly spicy.Saigon lamb was good, a little more on the bland side, yet cooked well and nice spicy sauce on the side. Our server was attentive. We had full waters and many check ins during our dining experience. We liked that the menu wasn't overwhelming.Plenty of options without being 8 pages long. Excellent wine selection available.

Ellen, Thank you for taking the time to review our family restaurant! We are grateful to hear that you enjoyed your time here, and we hope you will visit again soon--we'd love the chance to earn that extra star! Thank you!
Beautiful restaurant with awesome staff.Looks and feels super high end, but everyone was casually dressed.Shaira was our waitress and she made sure we had the best experience as first timers here. The food was amazing and authentic! Everything was freshly prepared and presented beautifully. The taste of each dish we were served had us finishing every last bit of food! Perfect experience!

Thank you for taking the time to review, and thanks for shouting out our wonderful family member, Shaira! We are grateful to hear that you enjoyed a 5-star experience with us, and we hope to serve you again soon! Thank you!
Fancier and more elegant than I was prepared for! Asked me if I had a reservation as soon as I walked in the door, but they found us a table instead of a 30 min wait.Asian fusion is usually street food or some stop in a plaza/mall--which is what I expected from the outside.1618 is located in one of those plaza strips with apartments behind it, but you walk in and it's a fine dining establishment. The whole shebang--wait staff in all black, hostesses in fancy dress, dark/low lighting you can barely see in, wine all over the walls--recessed lighting! The elegant inside does not match the patrons, though.Lots of men wearing baseball hats at the table and dressed in shorts.Such a contrast between patrons and the environment, so we were thrown off--felt like we should go change. Food is amazing, though. If you can get over the discomfort of seeing the elegant dishes, and the darkness that prevents you from easily seeing the menu, you'll love the food.We struggled with the dichotomy of an infuser kit to smoke whiskey wheeled out to the table of men in baseball hats sitting next to us.Maybe we just need to go to nicer places more often. The staff were incredible--as soon as I put a dish down someone was grabbing it off the table.Yvonne, our waitress, must be a magician. She was fantastic. Our appetizer and drink timing was perfect. As soon as we were finished with the appetizer, plates were removed and the entrees arrived.I was looking to see who was even watching to time our meal, and I have no idea how they did it--maybe it's the staff in all black blending into the darkness. The live music was nice, if you're into that.It was too loud for us, though. We were in the back, farthest from the music, and struggled to hear each other. They were playing modernish songs--just instrumental rather than vocals. We would definitely go again, probably at lunch when we can see a bit better and when there probably isn't the loud music.

Ariss, thank you for taking the time to review our family restaurant! We enjoyed reading the many details you included, and we appreciate the shout-out to our magical family member, Yvonne! It sounds like you may have visited us on a Thursday evening, when we regularly have The Brew band performing. Thursdays are, indeed, one of the liveliest nights of our week! It is also true that while we are a fine dining establishment, we offer our Guests a "come as you are" experience, with no dress code requirements. We also pride ourselves on being accessible to a wide variety of Guests! We hope you will stop by again--perhaps for our weekend Dim Sum Brunch, served every Saturday & Sunday from 10AM-3PM. Brunch is bright and lively, sans the added volume of live music!
