We had dinner here on Saturday. We didn’t have a reservation but we’re seated immediately. We started with the non alcoholic slushies. You can add alcohol but we don’t drink. The mango one was our favorite. We had the wings and waffle-Nashville hot style, pork spare ribs, and Philly fried rice. The wings and fried rice were our favorites! We also tried the sesame ice cream for dessert which was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely.
The food and the service was awesome! I also appreciate that they have decent weekday specials and I was able to try a lot of food for not a lot of money. I ordered the corn, chicken boa buns, ramen with chicken and the coconut donuts.Everything was hot (except the corn which is a cold dish!) and fresh. The portions were big and the staff was super friendly. I also left with 2 boxes and half a container of leftover ramen because I literally wanted to try everything. We will definitely be back.
I was recommended Yokai by a local. I dined in during the middle of the week around 7pm, and had no issues getting a table. The gentleman who sat me also took my order. He was wonderful. He did a great job explaining the menu, was friendly and was on his game. I started with the KFC Nashville style. These wings are CRISPY.The batter on the outside is extremely thick, so keep that in mind if you are going to order that. The pieces of chicken very very large. This is a great way to start a meal. I also tried the skewers. One chicken and the other mushroom. Both were extremely tender. The sauce that the skewers were marinated in was savory and addictive. I also tried the rice cakes. These were very good as well.I personally loved the sauce that came with it.The texture of the rice cake is on the chewier side so keep that in my texture people. I washed everything down with a yuzu mocktail. It was very refreshing though I think the drink was heavy on the ice. I would recommend if in the area.
