American restaurant, Bar, Bar & grill
Overall Rating: 3.9/10 This restaurant's visually appealing tavern-style atmosphere contrasts starkly with the subpar service and food quality experienced during the visit. Atmosphere: 6.1/10 The setting is genuinely tavern-like, complete with a full, legitimate-looking tent and bar area that adds character to the space. Service: 3.9/10 Service delays were significant, with over five minutes waiting for water and similar delays for food, impacting the overall dining experience. The lack of attentiveness continued throughout the meal, affecting the ability to enjoy the dishes as intended, such as not having ketchup available for fries. The charge is done by the sever at the table without giving a print out which may not show transparency. Food: Cowboy Skillet: 4.9/10 While specific details of the seasoning are forgotten, the presentation on a skillet initially suggested a promising dish. However, it was served cold, significantly detracting from what could have been a flavorful experience. Kids Cheese Burger Meal: 3.3/10 The presentation of the kids' burger was lackluster, with a disproportion between the bun and the meat.A more balanced proportion could potentially improve both the appearance and the eating experience. Cheese Pizza: 3.4/10 The pizza suffered from an underwhelming undercarriage and crust, reminiscent of lower-quality frozen pizza, which marred the overall taste and left a bad aftertaste. Value: 4.1/10 Priced at $47 for two entrees and a kids' meal without drinks, the value perceived was low.Improvements in service speed, food warmth, and culinary quality, especially the pizza, could justify the cost better.
Quintessential pub food.We started with the Philly cheese steak eggrolls. They were crunchy flaky fried on the outside and stuffed with the soul of a Philly cheese steak. No need to pick Geno's or Pat's.The cheese dipping sauce here is an elevated compliment to the tender steak filling. The fish fillets are thick, crispy fried, tender, and hearty. They might only be beat by a London chippie but I am skeptical. The chips are well seasoned and perfectly compliment the fish. The Reuben quesadilla is the best Reuben I've ever had.The corned beef is not too salty, as has been my experience, and as such, allows the flavours of the sauerkraut and dressing to mingle well with it.The shrimp and grits is divinely done, creamy, well seasoned, lots of good sized shrimp, and a filling portion. In fact, all the portions are heavy and the prices are very reasonable.I really don't know how they do it.Finally, the carrot cake is a don't miss.It has a lovely texture and a not too sweet cream cheese icing that allows the perfectly spiced cake to shine.Service was terrific, friendly and fast.Just get here.
Ask for Jessie. She is bubbly and knowledgeable about the menu.Always checked back with us.We love her personality! Food is amazing. We tried the Totchos appetizer and split the Fish & Chips.Their spring cocktail menu looks delicious.I had the Pomegranate Spritz.Check them out.Get there before 5:30 on a Saturday to beat the rush.It got busy real fast! We will definitely be back to try other entrees and the risotto.
