Vittorio’s Italian Restaurant in the Lloyd Wright-designed plaza is a real find in Huntington Beach. The place has a cozy vibe with dim lighting that makes it feel super intimate. But the real highlight? Jordan, the rock star waiter. He’s incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed without any fuss.Even when we asked for extra homemade dressing, he was happy to help and shared some cool details about it.In a time when good service can be hard to find, Jordan’s friendly and thorough approach made our visit really special.
My veal parmigiana was not good at all.The veal was tuff and hardly any coated with meat sauce & cheese.Very small piece of veal. Not very warm when served. A very small piece of Cajun Salmon with little veggies.Disappointed!!
I've been in the Hospitality/Food Service Industry for over 30 years.Unfortunately, this establishment was one of the worst experiences I can remember.Ordered Osso Bucco, from the menu, with a side of Spaghetti.Server, who was more focused on closing the restaurant than giving us a pleasant experience as diners, mind you, brought Spaghetti. The sauce was too sweet and I could tell white sugar had been used as a sweetener.Even still.I patiently waited for the Osso Bucco, and after 10 more minutes, now 40 minutes since we ordered, asked politely "Is the Osso Bucco still being prepared?" She answered "You didn't order Osso Bucco, you ordered Spaghetti!" I told her I did order Osso Bucco. My dinner date joining me this evening reiterated: "Yes, he ordered Osso Bucco, and it's his birthday." She replied "I know you didn't order Osso Bucco, because we no longer serve this dish.I wouldn't have taken this order!" After debating why they still have an item on the menu they no longer serve, and asking to order something else, because I didnt care for the Spaghetti, and wanted something more substantial, she told me the kitchen was closed. My dinner date also had ordered Lasagna she didn't like, suggesting it tasted freezer burned and rubbery.I didn't try it, but trust her judgment as someone who doesn't often complain at restaurants, also being a longtime member of the service industry as a bartender, server and caterer. We asked to speak with the owner, who we assumed was the guy sleeping on a stool at the empty bar.He refused to talk to us, saying "Too bad, you ate it, were closed" I told him I felt insulted and was very unhappy with our experience. He told us to pay and leave.I told him that was no way to treat paying customers. He said, you don't need any more food, you're too fat.I told him, I chose to come here for my birthday, and obviously made a mistake, I won't be returning. He said "good, pay and leave" I said, "I just can't believe you treat customers this way" He proceeded to call the Police (Who took their time responding) as we paid our bill, in full, without any comps for our less than hospitable experience. We left before the Police came, so as to not waste the valuable time of the local law enforcement officers, but later found out someone had driven a car through this guy's restaurant window a week later. In summary: DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE.LET MY LESSON BE YOUR GUIDE.ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT!
