I am simply impressed with how wonderful all aspects of this village inn was.The eggs were cooked to perfection. The steak was cooked perfectly. The Fresh Fruit was also fresh! Tanner was our Server and she was delightful! I really liked her personality while she joked at the same time!! The Manager was nice and held nice conversation with my husband after we ate.The hostess was also very warm and welcoming! This just might become our Saturday late breakfast stop! Thank you for also having extremely clean bathrooms!!
Village Inn is a local favorite, and having just moved here, I can maybe understand the attraction. It's mainly all sugary comfort foods, but they do breakfast all day.The waffle I had was very light, and though I ordered it dark brown and crispy, this seemed to be ignored and I got a waffle that was almost mushy. The ham and cheese omelet was great, cheesy, made with three eggs, and with plenty of ham.The hashbrowns were dry, and hard instead of crunchy or crispy. They have Pepsi products, and whole pies.I might go back to sample a pie, but otherwise I can say I've been there and be content with that.

Thank you Darrell. I will follow up with store about you special request.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID this Village Inn! Zero customer service, weak manager, and unprofessional server. Requested a pie to go and the server told they were out in the back.I could see two whole pies behind the glass at the register and asked if I could purchase one.The server said they were for display only.I asked why they have a pie in the window but wouldn't sell it.The server had an "I don't care" attitude, shrugged his shoulders, and couldn't explain why. I asked to see the manager for an explanation and was told no.The server said he wouldn't answer any questions, waved me off with his hand, and ignored me. Bottom line: I simply wanted to know if it was Village Inn's policy to not sell a pie in the front of the store if they were out of pies in the back. Were the pies in front old? Were the pies in front reserved? If the pies are good and not reserved, why not sell them and simply replace the pies in the front when more are available? Since Village Inn was out of pies in the back, what's the point of displaying the same pies in the front of the restaurant? It's confusing to be told the pie you want isn't available, but it's displayed right in the front behind the glass. Unfortunately, the manager couldn't take the time to explain this, so they hid in the back and told the server at the register to ignore me and go onto the next customer while I was next in line.😕 Outcome: Terrible customer service, weak leadership by the Village Inn manager, and completely unprofessional all around. It was even more surprising that this was during the holiday season.I can only imagine how unprofessional this place is throughout the rest of the year. Pictures: RUDE employee (who may be the reason they were out of pies) and two pies on display but not for sale. I posted a video of the person actually brushing me off with his hand (under "latest" photos), but Village Inn removed it from their website. They filter the videos and only show the cute little girl playing with her broccoli. I will also post online elsewhere, highlighting Village Inn Southlands employee's lack of professionalism and customer service. BTW, the actual food served, except for some of the pies, looks nothing like the stock pictures shown on their website. I updated my review because the owner won't respond.Another example of poor leadership.
