Restaurant, Barbecue restaurant
Vicki's Bar-B-Q stands as a long-established name in Detroit’s barbecue scene, offering a casual and historic dining experience on W Warren Ave. While the ribs have received praise for their flavor, many diners have expressed frustration over inconsistent service and the quality of dishes. With a price range that remains accessible, this spot is popular for both lunch and dinner, especially among tourists. However, potential visitors should be prepared for possible waits. If you’re looking for comfort food in a trendy yet laid-back atmosphere, give Vicki's a try—just be ready to manage your expectations!

October 02, 2024Vicki's Bar-B-Q has been a classic spot in Detroit, but my recent visit left me a bit disappointed.
The atmosphere is genuinely casual and trendy, but the service was underwhelming - seemed like the staff was having a rough day. I ordered the ribs, which had a nice smoky flavor but weren’t as tender as I hoped. The barbecue sauce, while popular with some locals, didn’t quite hit the mark for me.
I was lured in by their reputation, but maybe it’s time for a refresh? I may give it another shot for lunch, but I hope they can elevate both quality and service next time...
