Italian restaurant
Can whole heartedly recommend Via Cannuccia for one of the best brunches to be had in greater Boston! Was very impressed by their dinner and their brunch also delivered! We tried a pastry (blueberry Danish), the eggs poached in tomato sauce, and the mini quiche with home fries and salad. All dishes were extremely flavorful. The eggs were perfectly poached into a creamy custard consistency which made for perfect dipping for the toast along with the cheese in the sauce. Service was warm and attentive. In my top 5 brunch places in Boston.Make a reservation now and try it!

Legitimately incredible Italian brunch. The food was fresh and immaculately prepared.Service was quick and friendly. The entire menu looked divine.I had the panino con la porchetta and my table split the orange and lemon zest Nutella pancake—perfection. Absolutely worth a visit, I will be coming back!

A Dorchester gem with an authentic Roman flair. Boston is full of great Italian restaurants, but Dorchester’s Italian dining scene has been predominantly confined to Adams Village.Quaresima’s Via Cannucia presented a much-welcomed diversification with its unique Roman influence and became one of the most popular spots among the locals. In the mornings, this trattoria transforms into a casual café that offers a wide array of pastries. From flavored-croissants and danishes to donuts, everything I tried was great, but the standout for me was the Maritozzi, their signature Roman pastry.Nestled within a pillowy bun, the cream was light and fluffy, and it almost felt like biting into a cloud. In the evenings, Via Cannucia delves into its Roman roots to deliver exceptional Italian cuisine.Despite a limited menu, the quality of the dishes was exceptional. On our recent visit, we opted for the Signora Eggplant Parmigiana and the Il Carboncino for the appetizers.Encased in a thin, crispy batter, the Eggplant paired beautifully with the bright and creamy notes of the pesto basil sauce.Frittatina Alla Carbonara wasn't as impressive as the Eggplant Parm, but it still provided a satisfying arancini-like experience. The entrées, Spaghetti Alle Vongole and Branzino Ripieno Al Porri, were the highlights of the meal.Lavished in a rich and briny olive oil, the Spaghetti was perfumed with a robust aroma of Italian parsley, and it was possibly the finest rendition of Vongole pasta I’ve had in the city. The Leek-stuffed Branzino was creamy and tender, and its flavors were enhanced with Seafood Demi Glaze and Sun-dried tomatoes. Via Cannucia's ability to blend Roman culinary traditions with modern flair places it on par with the top Italian spots in Boston. While reaching this Dorchester area may require some effort, it's well worth the travel.
