Puerto Rican restaurant, Latin American restaurant, Restaurant
We arrived early for our reservation. We were promptly seated.Service was on the laid-back side of slow.We had plenty of time before our theater performance. This wasn't a huge deal.We ordered two chicken mofongo, and we received only one.Our waiter was apologetic and quickly brought the missing entrée.Portions were huge for the price. My drink was well made and perfectly strong. The restaurant is small and lively. It is a bit loud. The restroom is very clean. You are not told an 18% gratuity is automatically added to your bill.I typically tip 20%, so it's not a big deal. But patrons should be made aware.I've mistakenly tipped 38% in the past for not noticing the auto gratuity. We are not often in this part of Boston. If we are in the future, we will return for another meal.
Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of dining at Vejigantes Restaurant in Boston, a gem that was recommended by a friend.Let me tell you, it absolutely lived up to the hype! From the moment we stepped in, the vibrant atmosphere and the warm welcome made us feel right at home. The food, oh the food, was nothing short of spectacular.Every dish was seasoned to perfection, bringing the authentic flavors of Puerto Rico right to our table. It was a culinary journey that reminded me of my visits to the island, filled with rich flavors and a variety of choices that catered to every palate. The menu was impressively diverse, making it hard to choose because everything sounded incredibly tempting. Not to be outdone, the drinks were a highlight on their own.Creative, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the meal. It’s clear that Vejigantes pays attention to every detail to ensure a memorable dining experience. But what truly sets Vejigantes apart is the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making our experience special. They went above and beyond, which is a rarity these days. For anyone in the Boston area craving authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, Vejigantes is a must-visit.It’s more than just a meal; it’s a taste of Puerto Rico right here in the city.Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!
Amazing food! We loved everything we got, especially the seafood caserole and the Chuleta Kan Kan.The service was great and the design of the restaurant was pretty nice too.The presentation of the dishes was excellent and the price was reasonable for the great quality.I would also really recommend getting a margarita with tamarind. It was unlike anything I had tried before.Overall, it was one of the best restaurants we tried in the US.
