I’m mix of Trinidadian and Guyanese so I love my West Indian food.Reading these comments saying it’s not Jamaican food I’m like it’s not it’s definitely a variety not just Jamaican but when I walked in and saw the food and spoke with the woman serving I got straight Trini vibes not Jamaican anyways I admit the rice and peas wasn’t great but I threw some stew chicken gravy and it was yummy. Maconie pie was good.Curry chicken also good. And plantains are one of the best I had.Oh and the fresh mango juice that was bomb. The homemade peppa sauce also good. The beef patty was ok.Is it the best no I definitely had better from my parents and in New York.I may stick to going to my normal spot in Maryland. But I’m not disappointed, is it worth trying and coming back yes.Especially the fact this is the only TRINIDADIAN place I’ve ran into in Northern VA.Can’t find roti anywhere else out here.Price wise I got 3 containers, 1 roti skin, 4 beef Pattie’s, coco bread juice and a side of plantain for 78.00.I mean I don’t think it’s over priced as everything is high. But you can control what you spend by how much you serve yourself.
My Husband wanted Caribbean Food 🇯🇲 so we googled and found this Restaurant. We wanted take out as we were on a road trip traveling home. The Restaurant had a nice atmosphere, neat and clean with a Carribean flare. The Owner and Hostess were very nice and accommodating. The Food is set up Buffet Style , you pick and choose your items. The price is determined by the weight of your food- so much per pound. There are several items on the Buffet , along with other side items not on the buffet ( beef patties, sandwiches, and desserts) We wanted to taste some of everything. We had Pelau, Cream Spinach, Plantains, Fried Cabbage, Mac and Cheese Pie, Green Beans, Chick Peas/Potatoes, Stewed Chicken, Jerk Shrimp, and the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The Food was very good.It was flavorful, colorful , with the perfect amount of spices. We loaded 2 containers along with 2 sandwiches. Our price with taxes was $60 00.Well worth it.
I'm Jamaican so my criteria for good roti is high. The goat roti is a hit every time. This is my fourth time getting it here and it never disappoints.Highly recommend.
