Seafood restaurant, Restaurant
I had a fantastic lunch experience at The Waterfront restaurant in San Francisco. The venue's location is a true gem, boasting an impressive view of the Bay Bridge and the lively waterfront, which was especially vibrant under the midday sun.The standout dish of my visit was undoubtedly the grilled salmon. It was cooked to absolute perfection, with a beautifully crisp exterior yielding to a tender, flavorful interior. The salmon was complemented by a light, refreshing sauce that enhanced the fish's natural flavors without overpowering them. The ambiance of The Waterfront during lunchtime was both lively and elegant, striking a perfect balance for a midday meal. The staff's attentiveness and knowledge were commendable. What made the meal truly memorable was enjoying it against the backdrop of the bustling San Francisco Bay, with boats gliding by, adding to the dynamic yet relaxing atmosphere. The Waterfront is a must-visit for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in San Francisco, combining exquisite cuisine, superb service, and a view that's hard to beat.
This restaurant was chosen as the place for an annual holiday get together among my amigas (lady friends).Last year it was holiday dinner at Trabocco in Alameda. Menu selection of the entrées were great.I couldn't decide which seafood entrée I wanted - cioppino, king salmon, petrale sole meuniere, Alaskan halibut.Beverage of my choice was an Arnold Palmer. Eats: Alaskan halibut with crab mashed potatoes/chives and fresh asparagus. My lunch was on point and absolutely delicious.I enjoyed my lunch. The waiters were very accommodating, helpful and extremely patient with us seven ladies. The dining area was indeed comfortable. The decor was very festive for the holiday season. Dessert: Valrhona chocolate and walnut brownie with vanilla bean ice cream. Return visit: Yes, I want to try their cioppino.
We stopped by on a Sunday in February for lunch. The restaurant, which has two main floors, only had one floor open. The restaurant is located between Pier 7 and Pier 9 and has a nice view of the bay from most tables. The restaurant also has a nice bar on the first floor. The interior is very nice and upscale. The menu has a good mix of dishes, and the fish selection is very good.We tried oysters and calamari, as well as other main courses as we were a party of six.All dishes were very tasty, well presented and prepared, and we had a feeling of high-quality dining. The wine menu is good as well, with a good selection of California wines, but also other regions and countries. The prices are actually not too bad for this location, given that it the restaurant is in the middle of the main tourist streak. The staff was very professional and friendly. We found the dining experience at the Waterfront very good, and it exceeded our expectations. If you are in the mood for fine dining and find yourself near The Waterfront we can highly recommend a visit. Ambience: 4/5 Staff: 4/5 Food: 4/5 Wine selection: 4/5 Price/quality: 4/5 (relatively high prices, but very good quality)
