The Green Well

This is truly a gem in Grand Rapids.
We went here for a lunch on a weekend and were seated in the patio.
The place is laid back and quiet.
For appetizer we had the street corn dip.
The dip was tasty and the torilla chips were great! For main course, we ordered the green well curry with tofu ( was pan seared) and the Nashville hot fried mushroom.
Both had very distinctive flavors that we really enjoyed.
In the end it was really hard for us to pick one dish that we enjoyed the most as everything we tried was really good.

Loved ❤️: • the atmosphere - sitting on the patio was beautiful! • the food - tasted great.
I especially loved the fries and aioli.
(My veggie burger was good, but could have used a bit more flavor, and I enjoyed the regular salad, but nothing to write home about!) Didn’t love: • the service - it was truly horrific.
Our waiter took our orders, then came back 5 minutes later to confirm he got it all right (only to mess one up).
But the worst part was the complete oversight.
We asked for an extra plate multiple times before he brought it, and ended up getting a to-go container ourselves, because after asking a couple times, he never brought one.
I didn’t even bother asking for ketchup, because I knew we wouldn’t get it. •portion size - good food, but very small potions! The fries were a $2 up charge and we got maybe 15 total (the pic is before any were eaten).

The food here is so yummy! It's a cute place with booths/tables and a 10 seat cute bar as well! We parked in the lot across the street, which had plenty of open spots. My friend and I tried an app, main dish and dessert! We started with the warm goat cheese dip! Super creamy and delish! Then we asked our server, Corey (Who was so great btw! He is super personable, fun, efficient and recommends excellent food!) what he liked and he said the Green Well Curry so we got it with shrimp --soooo good! Not too spicy and just the right amount of peanuts! (Chef's kiss) Corey's recommendation was so good, we asked him again about dessert, to which he said- toffee sticky pudding-which is normally not something I would order as I tend to lean towards chocolatey desserts but it is SO GOOD! I would go back just for that! HAHA-seriously so tasty! I also got a mocktail since I'm doing dry January -the Brazilian Lemonade! It was good but I would have liked a little more coconut taste then lemonade taste--just my preference, the drink was still great!
