Got the Jambalaya and Gumbo and could not be happier.Good Cajun food, especially in Utah, is really hard to find so I was apprehensive but optimistic when I heard about The Bayou- it was well worth the hype. Both dishes had great flavor and spice with the option to make either spicier. The portions were large and came out surprisingly fast. Most of their dishes had the option to add shrimp for an extra $3 which is very reasonable for the amount you get.And basically every conversation I heard around me was how good their meal was. The staff was friendly and attentive.I was seated immediately and no reservation was needed even on a Saturday. There is construction as of July 2024 and their parking lot does not accommodate many cars.I would suggest street parking rather than finding out there's no room and doing a 15-point turn.
We came in at 830pm on a Tuesday and were seated right away. The atmosphere was great. Our waitress brought our waters and cocktails quickly and was super personable. We started with the seafood balls...excellent.My wife ordered the Gumbolaya (medium) and I ordered the chicken fried chicken with caramelized shallot mashers. Both were super flavorful and the Gumbolaya was just the right amount of spicy. We also had a side Caesar salad...the dressing was unique and delicious. We will absolutely be back.

Awesome. Thanks for the kind words and we hope to see you again soon.
I just dropped in for a brew before heading to a show across the street. The place was hopping, super crowded and on a wait, bug the door guy was very friendly and got me a seat at the bAR in just a few minutes. No big deal. The beer was pretty pricey but atmosphere was great. The food I saw on the table looked pretty choice. I'll have to give it a try my next time out🥰

Dave, thanks for the kind words. Beer pricing in Utah is a pain as we have to buy all our full strength beer through the DABS at full retail. The most we currently mark up any beer on our list is $5/16oz and that includes the exotic beers that sell for $20+. I just did a special order for a bunch of specialty beers and many of them our cost is $26 for a 375ml bottle. We will be selling those for $31 so you can see the bind we are in. Anyway, thanks again and hopefully we will see you again soon.
