French restaurant, Restaurant
The food was okay, not particularly amazing. The salmon was not quick cooked well enough. The Wedge salad was more garlic-y than I expected. The Creme Brule had a very heavy coat of burnt sugar on the top. Overall it wasn't bad, but I don't know if we'd go back.
I'm always excited to try a French restaurant. My favorite soup is French onion soup, so of course I had to try it at Taix.It was perfection! The broth was rich and the onions were tender and wonderfully caramelized. And the melted cheese! So good! I had the creme brulee for dessert (one of my favorite desserts).Unfortunately the top was way too burnt, and the bitterness really over-powered the custard. That was disappointing.I had to avoid eating the blackened parts which was most of the top.If I go back, I hope they will accept a request to go easy on the brulee. The waitress was lovely! <3
Fantastic food, and relative fast service! Loving the authentic cream brulee.Would come again! But would not recommend cocktails, and lots of people ordering beers( confused )
