I really like this place's food.It almost always tastes great and is a much better value than the 5 other Mexican places nearby. Unfortunately, none of that matters. While eating my burrito, I put some of the remaining lettuce and guacamole that was on the 3 rolled tacos into the burrito. After a few bites, I bit into what I thought was a bone.It was a wooden toothpick, likely one used to hold the rolled taco together while frying. This is a potentially dangerous mistake and inexcusable.
Surprisingly this was the only Mexican shop that we found that was opened on New Year’s Day.It wasn’t my first choice but it was opened. When trying a place for the first time, I always get the basic carne asada burrito. The burrito was on point but no guacamole. It’s also slightly smaller than other nearby shops.Tortilla remained soft which I liked. The meat was not chewy and it had flavor. The fish burrito was the opposite. It was a bust. You can tell it was previously frozen and the batter kept on breaking and tasted all doughy. The service was super fast. There are so many other Mexican shops along this street that I haven’t tried therefore I won’t be returning here.
Just wanna say the food is good, and i always come here since I live close. But today the service and food was horrible.Be careful going here at night.Everything was fine until I pulled up to the window. The rude cashier asked me for my pin number I said sure, can I type it in and she said something rude and told me to wait.Sorry, but I am not going to tell you my pin number. Also i come here so offen that I know when they ask for pins they will give you the machine.I keyed it in and she gives me my food. The container was light for carne asada fries and when i looked at it it was half way filled.I called and ask to comeback and the caisher said sure.I live down the street so I was only a minute away.Once back she looked at it and said so what.I pointed to the half filled container and said I order a full size not half. She grabbed the food and took it to the cook who then try to shake it so it can lay flat and fill in the gaps. She told me to wait and I step back until she called me.I said thanks and left.I just opened it and it's all fries.I PAID ALMOST $13.00 for fries. This was my go to spot.Everyone was so nice and the food is always amazing but to just give me fries and sour cream...really.I want to say I'm never going back, but I have a weakness for mexican food.So if you order check your food before you drive off.I should have checked again but didn't belive that this would happen. But now I know.Either pay full price for a smaller size or pay full price for only fries and sour cream.
