Both the grilled and battered fish tacos are so good!! Fish is very fresh.
The owner’s energy is great.
I was sitting outside and could see the sea from the street.
The price is very reasonable! It is definitely a hidden gem! I had to order a third fish taco after finishing the first two! They are too good! The spicy salsa source is amazing.
The downside is that there is no restroom on site, especially when you want to wash your hand before eating a taco and there is no free water.
You need to pay for bottle water.

Sunnie's was a fantastic local shop to eat before covid.
Throughout covid, I was a dedicated customer because I had met the owner and the staff felt like family with consistent food.
Eventually, the espresso machine broke, the staff was gone, and the pay pad was no longer functional.
Cooks from the back were left to man the front and said, they had asked the owner repeatedly for the payment machine to be fixed to no avail.
This has become a sad tourist trap for less than mediocre food.
I know all small family businesses felt the hard reality of covid, but I feel like the food and employees were neglected while the owner bought the property next door and never addressed the issues at hand.
There are so many other taco shops around....
If you want to support a shop that takes care of it's people and food, this isn't it.

I had a housewarming and my caterer fell through, so I gave Sonny a quick call and they were able to accommodate.
I ordered a tray of breakfast burritos and a tray of Carne Asada burritos and they were such a hit! I wish I had taken the name of the nice lady who took my order and walked me through the process.
She was amazing! All in all, everybody was super friendly when we got there to pick up, and it was delicious!
