Smith's Seaview Cafe offers a casual experience along the South Shields coast, but the sea view is a bit misleading. My partner and I swung by for some classic fish and chips. The food was decent; the batter on the cod was crunchy, though I expected it to be lighter.

The service was friendly, and I appreciated the great tea selection!

Seating could use a bit of a refresh, as some chairs felt wobbly.

Not bad for a quick bite after the beach, but there are better options nearby. 🌊
