The food was decent for airport food.
But it didn't really match up to a true Shula's restaurant.
The burger meat was definitely carefully selected.
The grilled asparagus was definitely worth the one dollar upcharge because the seasoning was perfect and it was actually hot when it hit the table. If you want a great beer while you wait for your flight, the Blue Moon was perfect. What made the experience better for us was our waitress on the day we went October 2, 2023...Alexis.

I've always been a great fan of Shula's, no matter the location.
This particular location is convenient in the A terminal of JIA/JAX Airport. As a frequent Platinum Status traveler, I typically hang out in the Delta Skyclub for free drinks and a meager meal, but i was feeling frisky today and decided to hang out at Shula's before my flight. I chose to get the salad wedge with a my choice of protein as Ahi tuna. First - Ahi given (as you can see) was extremely plentiful Second - the "wedge" was actually HALF a head of lettuce 3rd - the service was fantastic as i sat at the bar and had full attention of 2 bar tenders directly in front of me great conversation, great service, great portions, and decent pricing even though it's in the airport. The only thing i would criticize on is the rawness of the ahi.
i actually asked for 'fire kissed' - near raw, and you can tell that it was slightly over cooked.
tolerable for me, but next time i'll be more adamant about the cook level of the ahi. After eating this huge salad, I literally (mentally) felt like I ate an ahi tuna cheese burger - hahaha

Food actually wasn’t horrible. The service however was!! Waitress was rude from the start.
Obviously doesn’t want to be there and clearly doesn’t care about tips. Had to wait about 20min for our check, we were clearly ready to go, with cards on table. Because of service alone I could not and would not recommend this restaurant.
