One of my friends introduced this place to me about 12 years ago and we would come here to eat. We usually had hot beef sandwiches and sour cream and raisin pie it was our favorite restaurant to eat at. I took my boyfriend here to eat after telling him about it. I love this place and it has a special place in my heart.
This truck stop restaurant has fantastic omelettes.The Omelet and hash browns were better than I expected.The floors were dirty and it felt a little desperate empty but there is a fun feel about the place. There are several antique trucks in the Restaurant/truck stop that are worth looking at.Check out the old tow truck in the main store.
I can not recommend a better dining experience than at Shoemakers restaurant! If I could give them 10 stars I would, but I can't. The wait staff is above and beyond.They are the most hospitable people I have dealt with in a long time.True Nebraska hospitality.Very exceptional food at prices that are on par with fast food, but WAY better quality.The atmosphere is truly a wonderful touch.I highly recommend this as your stop if travelling in Lincoln and are on Hwy 6 or I 80.They are even worth a longer drive.
