Taylor was our server.She was wonderful, patient, and informative.Our food was delicious.Those turkey ribs were, by far, my favorite.I went to work the next day and told my coworkers about it.We'll be there for lunch next week! I'm excited to try the fried corn next.
Average good.Have been looking for a new fave local bbq joint ever since Smoketown closed a few years back.The search continues.A friend and I tried this place for my birthday lunch today.Generous portions - especially the loaded pork rinds, which was *ginormous*.Beef brisket is always my first test of a bbq joint; theirs came chopped on a bun.OK texture, but bland (and cold by the time it came to table); beef brisket shines when sliced rather than pulled or chopped.Good sides, especially the potato salad, burgoo, and green beans.Friendly service.Overall Shack in the Back was worth another try for the second test - baby back ribs.
Turkey ribs with great home cooking type sides. Stopped in Louisville for lunch with a friend. I had the turkey ribs, mac and cheese with Kentucky wonder green beans. Everything was seasoned very good. The meat had the right amount of smoke, it was tender and moist. Never had turkey ribs but they are really just a part of the wing I think but tasty. Oh yeah they have a white lightening sauce that is served with it in addition to the bbq sauces at the table.
