Saz's State House, a beloved spot in Milwaukee, serves up a delightful mix of barbecue and classic American fare. With its inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, it’s perfect for celebrating special occasions or simply enjoying a night out. Diners rave about the tender ribs and juicy build-your-own Angus burgers, while the vibrant atmosphere makes it a popular choice on game days, thanks to their free shuttle to Brewers games. Priced reasonably, it's a dining experience to savor, whether you’re in for a casual meal or a festive gathering.

The sour cream and chive fries are scrumptious. Cheese curds are perfectly crisp. The mozzarella wontons are good I suppose, if you like that sort of thing. I myself prefer breaded mozzarella sticks. The loaded fries are good, but there was something sweet under them that I did not like. Their special sauce is sweet and tangy, not a fan of it.

I just picked up 2 fish fries for my wife and I.1 baked, 1 fried and an order of onion straws. I've never been here before so this was my first order and I even stated that to the gentleman that took my order.Sadly, I couldn't even eat anything beyond 1 piece of fried fish. The baked fish was dry.The potato pancakes tasted salty and looked like they were deep fried.1 pancake was complete flat and burned, and the other was cooked beyond recognition. It was so over cooked/fried that it wasn't even soft inside but cooked to a crisp with no tenderness whatsoever. The fried fish was so salty that I peeled off the breading so i could try to eat it and to my surprise, the stack of breading tremendously outweighed the fish so I gave up. This was my first visit to saz's and I will be sure to never have the fish fry again! I thought a nicer place would have a great fish fry but I was wrong.I should've just went to Gilles down the street from our house and spent half the money and gotten better food.I'll try saz's again for their burger menu and I'll keep my fingers crossed for that one.
