West African restaurant
The Safari Restaurant in Boston offers a delightful culinary experience with its authentic Senegalese cuisine. The flavors are rich and well-balanced, capturing the essence of traditional Senegalese dishes. The ambiance is welcoming and the service is excellent, making it a great spot for both casual and special occasions. The portions are generous, providing great value for the price.Overall, it's a fantastic choice for anyone looking to explore African cuisine in a comfortable and friendly setting.👍🏿👍🏿
Food is amazing but the service..oh Lord!!!! On three different occasions, I ordered over the phone, they confirmed order received and drove 40mins to the restaurant only to be told what I ordered isn’t available. It just happened today as well resulting in this review. Please fix this cos we love yall
2022: today we got grilled chicken box w plantains and jollof rice.Satisfactory but kind of bland. Also okra sauce (beef & fish) with fufu ball of fermented kassava: fish flavor overpowering and fufu is like a big mashed potatoe ball. The sorrel juice is hitting the spot even thought it came mostly frozen.Deggeh dessert is good but has gluten and lactose. 2019: We got the "chicken stew" which was 2 drums with skin in thick onion red sauce with plain white rice, and "lamb with jollof rice" which was 6 slices about 2" diam 1/2" thick of meat with bone & skin in peppered broken rice. The beef samosas were ok, but felt more like Jamaican beef patties.$16 each meal to go, it was not a bargain and the quality & taste did not meet the price for that neighborhood. My friend is still saying "blah".
