Mexican restaurant, Breakfast restaurant
Before moving, I had a list of places and food I would miss in San Antonio after living here for over 30 years.Ruthie’s breakfast tacos was on my list. I’ve eaten here countless times.Every time has been a positive experience.Whether I do take out or dine in, the quality is there. Our last dining experience, I had went with my go-to tacos: carne guisada and chorizo and egg.First off, the tortillas are bomb and they don’t mess around with portion sizes. The meat in the guisada was flavorful and tender. The chorizo and egg was not greasy and plenty to eat. Definitely going to miss breakfast tacos in general, but especially from Ruthie’s.This is a place you don’t want to pass up.
Stopped in on a recommendation for breakfast tacos. The restaurant was bright and clean. The service was fantastic.I had a Carne guisada taco, a chorizo and egg, and a chorizo and potato taco. The food was good. I would go back.My sister ordered midas. She said they were overcooked and the portion was small.
I would pass this place and had never heard of it. I was surprised with my plate.I ordered the child's plate and it was a good serving in my opinion. The service was excellent. It was a little full but the wait staff were attentive and I will definitely be back!
