Royal Oak Fish Bar offers a solid takeaway experience for fish and chips enthusiasts. I stopped by for lunch and ordered the large cod with a side of chips. The fish was freshly cooked, with a lovely crispy batter that impressed me. Unfortunately, the chips fell short - slightly lukewarm and not as fluffy as expected. It had a touch of oiliness that detracted from the overall flavor. Despite these flaws, the experience was pleasant, and I might give it another try in the future. 🍽️
