Great place.My first choice whenever I’ve got a craving for Balkan food.Fresh puffy Börek.Good goulash and bread.Nice price and served right away.They’ve upgraded the restaurant now and moved to the building next to the original restaurant.Now the place is bigger, brighter and more modern.Waiters now wear ‘Kalaja’ polo shirts, and there are lots working now, as I write this.Quick friendly service.
We came together for borek, a cup of tea and cake.The tea was terrible.It was late, but they could have already said that there is no tea and we would have said okay thanks.Instead they brought tea that tastes nothing like tea.It was terrible.It looked and tasted terrible.After that, the other waiter started saying but my colleague told you there was no tea when you ordered, but that wasn’t true at all.They didn’t tell us that at all.They started trying to convince us to take the tea that was so light it tastes like hot water and no tea.Then they brought back tea that looked horrible and so dirty.Then we asked for sugar two times and they didn’t give it to us.It was terrible service throughout that it was honestly so frustrating we told them to have the tea and the money.They brought the money after, but it didn’t even matter because we came and were looking forward to just a cup of tea instead of trying to cheat.It was a terrible experience.
Very nice place.The food was fulfilling and reasonably priced.Highly recommend
