I came here today in the snow with my baby to quickly sit with a tea and breast feed. There was an area by the window with a few tables where no one had sat yet, and i asked if i could take the seat in the corner of this area, as it would be the most private, explaining my intention. There was a reserve sign on that table so i asked when the guests would need it.The man answered they would be there in half an hour.I answered that is great, i will be much less than that, and asked if i may breast feed there since it is the most private.Being in a corner, we could have turned inward and not be exposed from the sides as was the case with the other tables, which were also by a window and the entrance door, visible from the street and to customers who enter and exit. The man answered no because the table was set, and walked away quickly, ending the possibility to communicate further. The setting was very simple, nothing elaborate.I could have just breastfed there, and then moved to another spot without having disturbed it.Finding it too absurd to sit down by the entrance facing the vacant corner seat, and feeling uncomfortable with that treatment, baby and i went outside into the snow, found a patch behind a tree, and breastfed there. My partner came in to talk to the man afterwards. The man was apparently so genuinely clueless that my partner thought i’d even misunderstood something. But unfortunately i did not.The man didn’t want to offer us the vacant and more private seat to breast feed because he didn’t want to lay the table again.Even though he wouldn’t have had to do that.It is my opinion that that is really quite ungenerous and i hope he can find it in his heart to be a little more accommodating in the future. For obvious reasons I can understand how it might be difficult to put himself in my shoes, but he could have given my request at least a second thought, instead of just running off.
This is a hidden gem of fine dining experience. The restaurant is far from main streets of Berlin. It neighbors the famous WWII monument and lives on the edge of a beautiful park. The food pressured my palate and was beautifully served.Luckily no extra fuss you can sometimes expect from restaurants like this.We went for 3 course testing menu. However you can order separately if you came only for the main dish.My deer steak was a perfection. The fish was simpler but made a nice bouquet with sides and sauce.Come here if you're looking for unusual atmosphere and want to test your taste buds with what they deserve.
More of a show-off.You'll get better food for less € elsewhere, but it's most likely not as beautifully arranged.Vegans will have a hard time.Really nice location though.
