I can't help but sing praises for this delightful pupuseria! From the moment you walk in, the friendly and attentive staff make you feel right at home. And let me tell you, the food? Spectacular!Their pupusas are a must-try; each bite bursts with flavor, leaving you craving for more. But wait, it doesn't end there! After indulging in their heavenly pupusas, treat yourself to a plate of their incredible plantains.Trust me, it's the perfect sweet ending to a savory meal. Now, let's talk about their horchata. With two varieties available, Mexican and Salvadoran, there's something for everyone.Personally, I'm all about the Mexican horchata; its creamy, refreshing taste hits all the right notes for me.To top it all off, the restaurant itself is impeccably clean and tidy, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. If you're looking for a place with amazing food, friendly service, and a cozy ambiance, look no further than this gem of a pupuseria!
Wow...I am so disappointed in this place, please bring back the previous owners.I've been coming here for over 20 years and today is the first time that I've been thoroughly disappointed. We ordered a cheese pupusa, a chicharron and cheese pupusa, platanos fritos, and empanadas de leche. To drink We got an ensalada and a Salvadorean horchata.Starting with the Pupusas, the recipe has obviously changed (the cheese mix was wrong), it was still good, but not authentic like it used to be.We then received the order of platanos fritos and instead of getting real platanos fritos (with platanos machos) they served me these tiny little platanos burros. When I questioned it, I was told that what I had ordered was these and they gave me some of name of another dish saying the other dish was what I wanted.I'm off Salvadorean decent, I have grown up eating platanos fritos and can tell you this is the first time they've looked like this.I was so disappointed. The platano burro is a bit more tart and starchy as compared to the real platanos fritos (they should reference the picture on their menu for size reference). The horchata and ensalada are also very lack luster and tastes watered down. I didn't taste the empanadas, but I don't have high hopes for it.It's sad to say that after 20+ years I will not be coming back.Good bye Los Molcajetes, you were once great, but have now fallen from grace.

Time to update my review.Five stars, after the last visit I did I told myself I wasn't going to buy there anymore but yesterday February 24th 2024 I had the opportunity to go back in and I have to admit they have stepped it up a lot their pupusas were really good. And I have to admit I did enjoy them, the service was also great.A little pricey I would say $8 for two purposes a bit much but other than that everything is good
