I go to A LOT of Haitian restaurants in the tri-state area and I’m pleased to say that this food was good and the service was excellent! The meat (pictured) was sooooo tender which is rare because usually at other restaurants it can be a bit hard or over cooked. The akra (not pictured) was SO good that I forgot to take a picture lol.The pikliz (not pictured) was super fresh and delicious but could use a bit more heat/pepper, but I know that everyone likes their pikliz differently so it’s ok.I ordered ahead and went in for pickup because I know that good food takes a bit of time to prepare.I’m happy to now have a closer Haitian restaurant to go to when I’m in Jersey City. Also they forgot to add utensils and napkins to my takeout order which is okay for me but something to keep in mind for hungry customers that might want to eat in their car lol.Overall, I’m pleased with this experience and will surely be returning often.Thank you!! ❤️
I love this place. The djon djon is so delicious.I could eat that alone and be satisfied. The stew turkey is so good. The owner is so friendly and pleasant.Highly recommend!
Exciting to see a Haitian Restaurant in Jersey City.I just ordered lunch takeout via UberEats and the food was delicious but my experience could have been better if the restaurant had done the following: 1.DON’T PACKAGE FRIED/HOT FOODS IN STYROFOAM.IT IS CANCER CAUSING.Aluminum is better for this. 2.Use fried pork that has some meat and not all fat. 3.Package gravy and sauces separately. 4.Communicate with customer on food availability.I originally ordered white rice and black beans. However, the restaurant gave me diri kole.I would’ve appreciated a call letting me know of the limited availability. 5.Update UberEats menu letting customer know that entrees come with rice and salad.I ordered extra rice for no reason.
