Mexican restaurant, Bar & grill
This is a nice, affordable, and delicious spot to grab some Mexican food. The El Matador and Snake Bite cocktails were surprisingly good. The chimichanga is the size of a full-sized Class A RV - just gigantic! The fajitas were sizzling hot. This is definitely a worthwhile place to try.
food was great, completely cleaned the plate (street tacos with rice and beans).my waitress was very nice and answered my questions with respect and immediate knowledge, something that shouldn't be anything to bat an eye at but these days it's not something that you see as much.overall, would come back.definitely getting them street tacos again, very filling, very tasty.get the lime in there, dip it in the sauce, bite into the jalapeno....mmm! good stuff
The food was wonderful! The service was good too.We came for a late lunch so our expectations were not too high.I would recommend getting any fajita, those were delicious, but the server wouldn't allow any kind of substitution which I thought was weird. The deals are worth looking into like a bucket of beer. The white cheese dip was also very good. Here is a little bit from their website: Family History The idea of Primo's Mexican Restaurant was born with the vision of three "primos" (cousins) who wanted to reawaken their family's recipes and bring back the taste of their family's delicious Mexican dishes. It all started with their Great Grandparents Luis and Carmen Rocha who were immigrants from Mexico and settled in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They lived in a part that was referred to as the "South End".The Rocha family was large and it was typical to have family gatherings and celebrations and with these gatherings came home cooked Mexican food, which everyone raved about. In the late 50's, the Rocha's son, Johnny and his wife Lupe converted a small house into the first family restaurant called The Taco House.Over the years, The Taco House created wonderfully delicious food and great memories. The Taco House later closed its doors in the late 80's. This history of delicious Mexican food was recreated in 2010 when Primo's Mexican Restaurant was founded and brought to life. The 4th generation of the Rocha family brought an idea to reality and now the family and their passion for delicious Mexican food lives on.
