Restaurant, Laotian restaurant, Pho restaurant
A true hidden gem.I've lived in Westminster, Garden Grove, Cerritos, LA, and this was my first time coming to Fresno. But I had the best pho of my entire life here at Pho Lao Vieng. The flavors were so deep, the meat was tender, the broth was perfectly balanced, and the noodles were perfectly cooked.Just come and try, it's so worth it.The papaya salad was crisp and bright with a kick of spice, and the Lao sausages with the sauce they serve was also a star of the meal.Don't be turned away by the exterior of this place. This is truly a hidden gem & was such a memorable meal.We will be back!
Restaurants in this part of town are a hit or miss. You'll go to a restaurant and have a 5 star experience, then go back later and have a 1 star experience. This place is a hole in the wall.It was my first time eating here, and the food was very authentic. The chicken pho was very good, and the portions were generous. It's a small place, family owned, and with great service. The food here is great.
I ordered pork belly, noodle papaya salad, and mango Boba. The pork belly was so expensive and super dry!! I rate this 5/10.The noodle papaya salad was extremely spicy when I ordered meduim.I rate it 7/10.The mango Boba is probably the best thing I liked. It is 8/10
