Peppa's Jerk Chicken (Queens)

I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas.
The jerk chicken was seasoned well and very tender.
The rice and cabbage were good too.
You gotta get that jerk sauce for the chicken.
The sauce will have your 👃 leaking.
It’s hot 🥵 😂.
I definitely would recommend this place to friends and family.

We decided to try Peppas on Monday.
When we arrived we noticed a cash only sign so we decided to try to order and run to the bank that was the first issue as the lady became very abrasive when we asked for a total and she said it was $81 for 4 plates.
She wouldn’t fix the food while we’re gone so we came back and ordered 5 plates and it was $83 so I don’t think she ever really put anything into the register.
When we got back inside the second time a different lady took the order so we assumed we would receive better customer service but she had an attitude as well.
The lady fixing the food was nice.
I ordered a plate with Mac and cheese & veggies and made sure to ask before I paid and she didn’t charge extra.
When the lady went to make the plate she first tried to have the lady put the veggies with the pasta but I corrected her and she started screaming about it was extra.
After receiving horrible customer service twice in one night we had decided not to go back.
However that wasn’t the end of the issues.
Shortly after eating the food my mother had a severe allergic reaction to something in the food that resulted in us having to take her to the emergency room.
I’m not sure what there putting in the food but she had ate what she ordered before from other places and never had a reaction.
Be careful where you choose to eat from.

I ordered the small jerk chicken plate with peas & rice and cabbage.
The food was delicious but the customer service was lacking.
I wasn't acknowledged when I entered.
The woman who fixed my order should not be working with customers.
She should be assisting in a different capacity.
Placed my food in a bag and put it on the counter.
No thank you or anything.
I will not recommend or patronize this establishment based on my experience.
